FIX OUR GAZE ON MARY, MEDIATRIX OF ALL GRACE
Even if this homily has become long-drawn-out, I will be remiss if
I fail to conclude with the most important element in the new start the
Archdiocese is bent on undertaking. I ask all of us to fix our gaze on
Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace. I have always believed in the strong
presence and distinct predilection of the Holy Mother, long revered
as Our Lady of Caysasay, for this province, for this Archdiocese. If
our country, the Philippines, has been long called Pueblo Amante de
Maria; our province is truly Tierra de Maria. Indeed She is our com-
panion in the defense of the right of the unborn to life and in the
protection the sanctity of Marriage and the Family. She is our leader
in fighting corruption in government. She is our inspiration as we
fulfill our missionary task of bringing Her Son, the Good News every-
where. She is all these to us because She is Mediatrix of All Grace.
My very last statement to the priests and faithful of the Archdiocese
of Lipa, as we embark on a new beginning is this: Let us never doubt
the special love of Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace for us. Risking the
displeasure of some people even in the highest levels of Church
leadership, I declare today what I always have at heart: Mary,
Mediatrix of All Grace of Lipa is worthy of belief. What happened in
the past still happens now. Mary is truly with us, blessing us, taking
care of us, loving us and leading us to Jesus. With Mary, let us cre-
ate a better Province of Batangas, let us bring about a holier Local
Church of Lipa.
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou
amongst women and blessed is the Fruit of Your womb, Jesus. Holy
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our
death. AMEN. Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace. Pray for us.
