An aeronautical Balloonist by the name of Augustine Piccard is usually proclaimed to be the first person who ever saw "the curvature of the earth" from his hot air balloon.. Yet, he didn't apparently acknowledge that there WAS any "curvature. "

Go to this link and read Page 23 of Popular Science Magazine from July 1931. It gives an account of Mr Piccard's first balloon ride which had taken place a couple of months before in March of 1931.
The account said .....
""In the first half hour, the balloon shot upward nine miles. through portholes, the observers saw the earth through copper-colored, then bluish, haze. It seemed a flat disk with upturned edge......."

I keep an open mind on topics sometimes and this is one of them. I know that the Original Douay Rheims Bible stated in Isaiah 40 That the earth was like "a compass" yet the Douay Rheims Challoner version inexplicably altered the word "compass" to Globe.

Why change the word? The Government tell so many lies about most things, so, I don't ridicule those who say the earth is flat . Too many people laugh at flat-earthers and look almost insane and demonic when they are doing so, which (as I said above) is in itself a good enough reason to keep an open mind on the subject.
