St Therese's sister Leonie and the soup.

Filmed by candlelight at the St Jacques Expo, a chaplain reads from the Martin Family correspondence and tells the story of Therese's sister Leonie and the soup. Louis Martin had gone to a meeting of the Vital Romet Circle in Alencon, leaving the women to dine alone for the evening. Wishing to help the maid prepare dinner, Leonie sliced the bread for the soup. When Therese's mother, Zelie, put the ladle in the soup tureen at dinner, she hit something solid. What was it? The sodden mass of the dish towel Leonie placed in the soup with the bread. The soup was not eaten but Zelie and the girls had a nice laugh about it.
