"Marriage Is Not an Ideal for Only a Few": Burke Challenges Amoris Laetitia

Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke has called on Catholics to defend the sacrament of marriage and the Christian family even at the cost of suffering. Preaching on July 25 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Wisconsin, the cardinal encouraged married couples to embrace their vocation as a path to holiness.
"The grace of Holy Matrimony is not an ideal to which only a few can aspire," he said, "but an objective reality, a supernatural gift, which leads husband and wife to seek each other's eternal salvation along the path of divine love."
The cardinal concluded: "Let us be ready for martyrdom, if not the red martyrdom of blood, certainly the white martyrdom of faithful witness to Our Lord in the face of indifference, ridicule, and persecution."
Cardinal Burke's appeal comes just two months before the Vatican's October meeting convened by Pope Leo XIV to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Amoris laetitia. In this exhortation, Pope Francis repeatedly uses the language of the "ideal" of marriage …Күберәк

What Bergoglio (and his Mini-Me Leo14) call theoretical, Burke calls " an objective reality, a supernatural gift." Cardinal Burke contradicts Pope Francis. Modernists have trouble understanding the supernatural.

President Trump has been building a huge new helipad at the White House. But on Tuesday, workers seemed to be reversing course on the project.
As of last week, the helipad appeared to be nearing completion. After starting work in June, workers had built a circle 100 feet in diameter in the middle of the green expanse of the South Lawn. They were starting to add the finishing touches in granite, laying out the lettering of the presidential seal along the edge of the pad.
But then, on Sunday, photos showed that some of the lettering had been removed. Where it had said “…Күберәк

Not Homosexuals, Catholics Must "Repent" - German 🌈 Bishop

Auxiliary Bishop Ludger Schepers of Essen, the German Bishops' Conference's commissioner for homosexual propaganda, has urged Catholic parishes to become places where homosexuals can live "without fear".
Writing on Kirche-und-Leben.de on August 2, Bishop Schepers commented on the recent deadly attack during Berlin's homosexual march.
"Our parishes must be places where every person is welcome and experiences the inalienable dignity that God has given them. No one should ever have to fear prejudice, distrust, or rejection because of their sexual orientation or gender identity."
He attacked the Church, claiming gratuitously that she "has not always been a safe place for queer people," adding that biblical passages had too often been taken "out of context" and used against them.
Ludger Schepers contrasts what he calls "the Gospel's message of unconditional love" with "the experience of many queer people". This contradiction calls Catholics "to repent".
Looking to the global Church, Bishop …Күберәк

Penn professor claims ‘cisness’ is unnatural, ‘sex isn’t real’ in new book | The College Fix

FEATURED | LGBTQ ‘Renderings of stable, biological, binary sex don’t make sense under close scrutiny,’ professor writes University of Pennsylvania Professor Beans Velocci published a book this year claiming “sex isn’t real” and the gender “binary” is “incoherent.” Velocci is an assistant professor in history and the sociology of science who claims to be nonbinary and transgender. Is Pope Leo really endorsing Cardinal Roche's liturgical agenda?

Should Cardinal Roche be believed about the Latin Mass?

VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — On Thursday morning, The Tablet published its now widely disseminated interview with Cardinal Arthur Roche, in which the cardinal attested that Pope Leo XIV has no intention to lift any restrictions on the traditional Mass. Now that the initial hype has died down, the key question remains: what weight should we give to Roche’s comment? To begin with, Roche’s words are themselves very clear. Unlike many curial cardinals who equivocate endlessly, the prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship (DDW) got straight to the point. “It’s a very important area because the Eucharist is the sacrament of unity: it’s the place where we should all be able to be together to celebrate Mass. So if it begins to divide us, there’s something seriously amiss. No, Pope Leo is not going to change Traditionis Custodes, and he’s not going back to Summorum Pontificum.” Roche continued: “It’s interesting. When I meet with groups who want the antecedent liturgy, and I say: ‘Well, the …

Six Jewish extremists were arrested after spitting at the Armenian Orthodox St. James Monastery in Jerusalem, verbally abusing a woman who filmed them, and throwing rocks. Their punishment? A 15-day ban from Jerusalem's Old City. The Armenian Patriarchate says these attacks are part of a growing pattern of anti-Christian violence and is urging the Israeli government to treat them as hate crimes. The Religious Freedom Data Center (RFDC) documented 83 attacks against Christians between April and June 2026, almost twice as many as the previous quarter.

Spittle and stones against an Armenian church in Jerusalem

The Armenian church in the Old City of Jerusalem was the target of an attack on Saturday night, when several people spat at the temple and threw stones at the building. Israeli Police detained six suspects, five of them minors, in a new episode of harassment against the Christian presence in the holy city. According to the KNA agency, the arrests took place after several citizens reported the incident. The Police requested pretrial detention for three of the suspects, while the other three were released under certain conditions. A pattern of aggression against Christians The attack is not an isolated incident. In recent weeks, various organizations and international media have warned of the increase in attacks against churches, monasteries, clergy, and Christian faithful, especially in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Religious Freedom Data Center (RFDC) documented 83 attacks against Christians between April and June 2026, almost double the number recorded in the previous quarter. Most …

Sydney Archbishop: Homosexuals Mocked Catholic Faith

Sydney Archbishop Anthony Fisher noted the producers of a homosexual performance staged inside a former Catholic church on Kent Street deliberately mocked the Catholic faith.
Writing in CatholicWeekly.com.au on July 28, a week after hundreds of Catholics gathered outside the venue to pray the Rosary, Archbishop Fisher rejected claims that the show was simply artistic expression.
The performances were "not neutral expressions of art" but "a deliberate appropriation, sexualisation, and denigration of symbols and rituals specific and sacred to the Catholic faith."
The archbishop cited promotional images showing a pig offering McDonald's fries as the "Body of Christ," male performers dressed as nuns, and events titled "Sunday Mess" and "Unholy Confessions." He considered claims - that the production was not intended to mock Catholics - were "unpersuasive."
"For Catholics, the Eucharist is not a cultural motif available for parody," Fisher wrote. "It is the sacrament at the heart of our …Күберәк

The Cure of Ars (St. John Mary Vianney) Shows How You Can Benefit From Your Suffering

by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
Le Curé d'Ars offrant la nouvelle église à sainte Philomène
The book The Spirit of the Cure of Ars by Fr. Alfred Monnin contains the catechism classes, homilies and conversations of Saint John Vianney. One passage speaks about how to see suffering as a privilege. The Cure of Ars says:
Some people do not love God or pray to Him, and yet they prosper. When this happens, it is a bad sign. It means these people did a few good things amid many bad things. God rewards these small good deeds in this life. Sometimes, we say that God punishes those He loves. However, this statement is not always true. For those whom God loves, trials are not punishments; they are graces.”
Suffering as a Means of Approaching God
This passage summarizes the great principle of Catholic doctrine that suffering is an indispensable means of approaching God. It is indispensable for two reasons.
The first is because God wants us, for the good of our souls, to complete that small bit of …Күберәк

The gospel reading emphasizes the importance of being prepared for the Lord’s return. While technology and distractions are not inherently evil, they can lead to a decline in spiritual and intellectual growth if not used in moderation. Cardinal Burke: Be ready for ‘martyrdom’ in defence of marriage and family

Cardinal Raymond Burke has urged Catholics to be prepared for martyrdom in defence of marriage and the family. Delivering a recent homily, Cdl. Burke urged a renewed defence of marriage and the family, joining Cardinal Joseph Zen in highlighting a renewed need for the Church to prioritise the integrity of the sacrament. Preaching at his Wisconsin shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe for the feast of St James, Burke urged an imitation of St. James’ zeal to motivate Catholics: “Inspired by the example of Saint James the Greater and aided by his intercession, let us resolve to take up with new enthusiasm and new energy the spiritual practices by which our hearts dwell fully and securely in the Heart of Jesus for the transformation of the world by means of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and its incomparable fruit, the family.”
