Consistory Run Like the Synod: Only two hours are reserved for open interventions during the Consistory on 26–27 June. The majority of the meeting is structured around small-group discussions. The cardinals are divided into 20 groups, each of which prepares a written report. Only nine groups are scheduled to present their reports in the plenary session. Discussion of the Just War doctrine was anticipated based on earlier Vatican communications, but it is absent from the final agenda. Cardinals can communicate directly with Leo XIV via an email address provided for this purpose.
The Rosary as a Spiritual Weapon Just as Our Lady of Lepanto delivered Christendom from physical destruction, the Holy Rosary remains one of our most powerful spiritual weapons against the culture of death, especially the evil of abortion. by Lyn Wade Each time we pray the angelic salutation of the Hail Mary, we not only honour the Mother of God, but also adore the blessed fruit of her womb: Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God, who sanctified the unborn by taking flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary. Our Response to a Spiritual Battle To confront the evil of abortion, which is deeply entrenched in our society, Catholics cannot rely on secular or political strategies alone. While pro-life rallies and sidewalk counselling have their place, this is ultimately a spiritual battle. For this reason, we must turn with confidence to the enduring power of this Marian devotion: the Holy Rosary. The true battlefront is spiritual, and it is fought on our knees through prayer, sacrifice and …
Leo XIV Against Remigration of Migrants: Asked about “remigration” of immigrants, Pope Leo XIV replied on Tuesday in Castel Gandolfo: “Simply saying, ‘We send them away, and then the problem is off our hands,’ does not seem to me to be the most Christian response.” He said migrants should be respected as persons, their reasons for leaving considered, and their cases examined individually.
Sulla questione remigrazione, esorta a trattare “con rispetto ogni persona”: “Dire mandiamo via, così ci laviamo le mani, non mi sembra una risposta cristiana”.

In impromptu declarations to the press, yesterday (June 16, 2026): “I am considering making another appeal and saying ‘don't do this, let's try to live the communion of the Church.’ But it is their choice. We must realize what it means for them and for the Church. Certainly, the division among Christians is a painful point. However, they refuse to accept some fundamental elements of the Church, starting with several points of the Second Vatican Council. If they make that choice, I am sorry. But we must move forward”
Il Pontefice annuncia pure che verrà esteso un altro appello ai lefebvriani: “La divisione nella Chiesa è sempre un dolore”
Protestant Prayer and the Catholic Mass as “Different Pathways to God”: “Catholic” U.S. Vice President JD Vance appeared to relativize the Catholic Church and the Eucharist during a June 16 interview on Fox & Friends. Speaking about what he called the strength of “the American church,” Vance emphasized the diversity of [contradicting] Christian denominations: “You can't be an American Catholic or an American Pentecostal or an American Southern Baptist without running into someone who has a slightly different perspective on faith.” He added: “It's all about Jesus.” Vance sees "different ways" by which people find God: “Different ways, sometimes with 'snake handlers' [evangelicals in Kentucky], sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass, but I think all these pathways really matter and they're part of the reason why we do find our path to God.”
JD Vance: "One of the things I love about the American church is there are all of these different pathways to God ... sometimes with snake handlers, sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass. But I think all of these pathways really matter."

"Devil" Beer Tap in Belgian Confessional: A deconsecrated church built in 1878 in Antwerp, Belgium, has served as a foyer for Theater Elckerlyc since 2025. One confessional now contains a token machine, while another has been fitted with a self-service Duvel 6.66% beer tap. "Duvel" is Dutch for "devil" and is also the name of a Belgian beer brand. An earlier report claimed the diocese had approved the concept, but the article was corrected on 10 June: the diocese says it was not involved in the redevelopment.
I went to their website - heilighartbrouwerij.be/page/foto-s and I could not find any images with Bart Simpson or 666 on any of the images inside this deconsecrated church. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...............
Who could forget John Vennari. I listened to every talk and conference he had. Any time he was a guest on another show. And of course watched all or most of his show on The Fatima Center. When The Fatima Center was worth it. Without John and Father Gruner, the show died with them. In the first post the owner of the this Catholic site wrote: On Tuesday, April 4, the day of the week dedicated to the Holy Face and in the month dedicated to the Holy Face, John Vennari died. There is no way that this date was incidental as there is no coincidence with God and Our Lady. Mr. Vennari had a great devotion to the Holy Face and made a point to publish articles regularly on the practice of the devotion to Our Lord's Holy Face and the efficacy of such a devotion. I was taught and heard that anyone who is born or dies on a great Feast Day is a good sign for that person. Anyone else ever hear of it? I am highlighting what she wrote for a reason. ------- A second post Rest in Peace, John Vennari ------- …Bivule

The Creed of St. Athanasius Feast Day: May 2nd Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary, that he hold the Catholic Faith. Which faith, except everyone do keep entire and inviolate, without doubt he will perish everlastingly. Now the Catholic Faith is this; that we worship One God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity. Neither confounding the Persons, nor dividing the substance. For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Ghost. But the Godhead of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is all One; the Glory equal, the Majesty co-eternal. Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Ghost. The Father uncreate, the Son uncreate, the Holy Ghost uncreate. The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Ghost incomprehensible. The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Ghost eternal. And yet they are not three eternals, but one eternal. As also they are not three uncreates, nor three …Bivule

Pope Leo XIV published today a video message for the climate World Summit in Vienna, Austria. He called for a "just transition" to new economic models, urged wealthy nations to provide greater financial support, and advocated the development of a new international financial framework. All this is presented within the façade and language of Catholic social teaching and care for creation and the poor. Three key quotes, emphasis added. - "These challenges [peace, natural resources, climate change] require international cooperation, together with cohesive and forward-looking multilateralism in order to find effective solutions." - "It is not merely desirable but also genuinely possible that the progress at COP30 [United Nations’ climate summit] can be followed up with a just transition toward societies where the common good takes precedence over profit, and economic models are rooted in solidarity and human dignity. Yet, this requires wealthier countries to meet their obligations to …Bivule

Cardinal Camillo Ruini, an influential churchmen in Italy, died in Rome on the evening of June 16 at age 95. He had been hospitalized last September with kidney problems and, after an initial recovery, saw his condition worsen in recent weeks. He chose to remain at home under medical care. Born in Sassuolo, in the province of Modena, Ruini was ordained a priest in 1954. He became auxiliary bishop of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla in 1983 and secretary-general of the Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI) in 1986. In 1991, Pope St. John Paul II appointed him to lead the Italian Bishops' Conference, named him Vicar General of Rome, and created him a cardinal. He held the Rome vicariate until 2008 and led the bishops’ conference until 2007. He became, for nearly two decades, one of the closest collaborators of both John Paul II and later Benedict XVI. His tenure as bishops’ president coincided with the collapse of the Democrazia Cristiana, the Christian Democratic party that had been the Church's …Bivule

In our time, authority is deeply discredited, both in society and in the Church, whether because of excess or deficiency. This was said by Father Francisco Rivera, 46, on June 14 in an interview with VidaNuevaDigital.com. He was elected on May 20 as the new abbot of the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María de Huerta in Soria, Spain. It is one of Spain’s great monasteries and one of the most important historic houses of the Cistercian Order. Father Rivera acknowledged that the number of vocations has declined drastically: “We can blame the world, its values or lack of them, young people, social media, and so on. But I believe consecrated life must also undertake a rigorous examination of conscience. Perhaps we have become a kind of tasteless salt. And we know what the Lord Jesus says in the Gospel about that.” For the new abbot, the best vocation campaign is “to live, in our case, a serious and coherent monastic life, in fidelity to our monastic commitments and to the Rule of Saint …Bivule
Sirach 48:1-14 "The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha." Elisha receives the Spirit of mission and evangelization from the One who Works, God. Matthew 6:7-15 The Lord's Prayer is a masterpiece. The name of God is holy, but we want to improve ourselves and remain in God's holiness. The reign of God is now, since Christ is King and He lives in the Kingdom. We want to live in the Kingdom, in God, now. Allowing ourselves to be loved by God draws us away from sin and evil. The joy of the child within us is a guiding light to lead us into the Heart of God.
