I've always wondered about Archbishop Cordileone's sense of judgement since I read this: SF's New Archbishop Arrested for Drunk Driving, Says He Feels 'Shame For Disgrace' | KQED Globally, I fear many Catholics will not look into this matter too deeply or be made aware by their priests of any theological nuances - they will just accept that the Church has changed its teaching on blessing same-sex unions.

@Wilma Lopez I agree 100%. Spiteful 'gay' activists will target traditional communities (whether they actually want a 'blessing' or not) and demand one, and if they are refused, try to get the priests in trouble with the ecclesiastical or civil authorities. Then the local Ordinary, backed up by Francis and +Roche can wade in and shut the traditional community down on the excuse of them being 'disobedient' or 'divisive'.

Some time ago, I remember seeing on television that when an Islamic shrine was vandalized in Iraq, 300,000 Muslims took to the streets to protest it's destruction. Today, tens of thousands across the USA in colleges and elsewhere (rightly or wrongly) are protesting Israel.
What faithful CAtholics should do, is mount huge protests in the USA, and especially in Rome, against this act of sin before God committed by heretic Pope Francis. A crowd marching thru Rome 25,000-50,000 would make the point.... not "increase our prayers and penances. "

Where is Cardinal Raymond Burke? Not a squeek from him against this apostacy of his beloved "Holy Father" who drove him out of Rome and cut off his health insurance. Not a word against his "Holy Father" for that abuse. If I were Burke, I would have spilled everything I knew about the rot and corruption of Francis' Vatican and papacy, doing my best to ruin him and his associates. But not a word out of little Ray.

@Ursula Sankt -No excuses for Francis. There should have been NOTHING provided for homosexual blessings or anything else. Period. They should be considered like lepers, like they were until 50 years ago when all this talk of pastoral care of homosecuals was discussed in the Church. JPII had the right idea to try to squash it, as did Benedict XVI. But since Francis might be of a certain persuasion himself, he allows for almost anything.
