Non è pensabile che i dodici potessero personalmente ammaestrare e battezzare tutte le nazioni: essi hanno incaricato altri di proseguire l'opera dopo di loro e, nel tempo, altri ancora, e così via, costituendo una catena che si allunga nei secoli.
"Go therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, to the close of the ages."
It is unthinkable that the twelve could personally teach and baptize all nations: they entrusted others to continue the work after them and, over time, still others, and so on, forming a chain that stretches over the centuries.
