On 18 September, three new bells were blessed and lifted into the 36-metre-high bell tower. The ceremony was led by Bishop Jean-Yves Nahmias of Meaux and auxiliary bishop Guillaume de Lisle. The bells weigh 275 kg, 190 kg and 155 kg. The largest is Geneviève-Étienne and the smallest Espérance (“Hope”).

Catholic shrine vandalized and restored in Ceuta, Spain. A small Catholic shrine dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary and Fray Leopoldo near Tiro Pichón in Ceuta was found badly vandalized this week. Religious images and devotional objects were damaged or displaced. The perpetrators are unknown. Following reports of the destruction, Ceuta’s municipal authorities sent workers to clean the site, repair the damage and restore the shrine.
